About the event

Shiloh Centre for Multicultural Roots is excited to invite you to a town hall meeting on October 24th at 6:30PM at Shiloh Baptist Church 10727 114 St NW, Edmonton AB. Or, via Zoom Link provided. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6513134773

This is to discuss the proposed Multicultural Community Centre project in the City of Edmonton.

This project aims to serve as a gathering place for all black communities in the city. It is currently called the African Multicultural Community Centre.

We have been given the honour of hosting this meeting, both in person and virtually, to ensure our voices are heard.

We encourage you to share your vision and thoughts about this proposed center at this meeting.

We want to know what you want from the African Multicultural Community Centre.

Your input is crucial in shaping the future of this facility, as it should accurately represent and meet the needs of our African and Caribbean communities.

As the Roots of the African and Caribbean communities, we must be well-represented in the building. We want to create a space that reflects our rich cultural heritage, celebrates our traditions, and provides opportunities for cultural exchange and integration.

Furthermore, we want to define our role within this center.

As the community that this facility is being built for, it is imperative that we have an active and meaningful influence on its operations and programming.

We want to ensure that our voices are not only heard but also respected and acted upon. Your suggestions on how we can actively participate in the center's activities, decision-making processes, and leadership positions are highly valued.

We strongly encourage you to share your thoughts and vision for this project.

Your input will shape the future of the African Multicultural Community Centre.

If you are interested in participating, please respond by emailing shilohcmr@gmail.com or leaving a text or voice message at 780 722-9141.

This is a crucial opportunity for us, the Roots of Edmonton's black community, to be heard loud and clear.

Let us come together, both virtually and in person, to contribute to developing a center that fosters cultural pride, unity, and growth.

We look forward to your active participation and valuable insights.

Sincerely,

SCMR
